Research for Scalable Solutions (R4S) project Dissemination Workshop Niger

On behalf of the R4S project, EVIHDAF organized a dissemination workshop on Family Planning self-care in Niger to discuss the findings of a study carried out by EVIHDAF. Chaired by Dr Fatima Rachid, Director of Youth and Adolescent Health at Niger’s MOH and facilitated by Dr Hadiza Kadri, EVIHDAF’s Country Representative in Niger, and Dr Amadou Housseini, Niger’s Director of Family Planning. The study’s goal was to improve self-care guidelines in Niger by generating evidence on the understanding, perception, and experiences of FP self-care. As a key takeaway of these findings, it is confirmed that self-management of FP is an approach that can boost contraceptive prevalence in Niger. It improves access to contraceptive products and reinforces the voluntary nature of FP service use.
