Nadia Tefouet, MPH

Research Officer, EVIHDAF, Cameroon

Nadia Téfouet is EVIHDAF’s Research Officer based in Yaoundé, Cameroon office. She provides project research and evaluation assistance with focus on qualitative component, administrative, and general support to the institution. Since joining EVIHDAF in 2017, she has held positions of increasing responsibility. She has worked in various research projects related to family planning and reproductive health; malnutrition; and malaria information system.

Before joining EVIHDAF, she worked as intern at Cameroon National Association for Family Welfare (CAMNAFAW) – a member association of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) – where her duties included counselling of youth on sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence and family planning, and community mobilization. She also interned at the Division of Fight against Diseases, Epidemics and Pandemics within the Ministry of Health.

Nadia Téfouet holds an MPH with concentration on community health from the School of Health Sciences at Catholic University of Central Africa.  Her thesis focused on the contraceptive behaviors of couples during the immediate postpartum period in the Biyem-Assi health district, Yaoundé. Nadia also holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Dschang.
