Mr Ayiagnigni Njoya Thomas Hugues Yannick is a Public Health Specialist with over nine years of experience supporting national and international health programs in Cameroon. His expertise spans global health security, disease surveillance, digital health systems, monitoring and evaluation, and public health program implementation. He has worked closely with government institutions and international partners to strengthen health systems and improve data-driven decision-making for public health action.
Mr. Njoya Thomas has extensive experience translating national public health strategies into operational programs. He has coordinated the design, piloting, and implementation of surveillance and digital health initiatives supporting Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR), HIV and Malaria programs, and epidemic preparedness efforts. His work includes strengthening community-based surveillance (CBS), contributing to the development of national digital health and surveillance guidelines, and supporting the operationalization of laboratory and data systems that improve early detection, reporting, and response to public health threats.
Throughout his career, Njoya Thomas has collaborated with leading international institutions including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ICAP at Columbia University, Jhpiego, Catholic Relief Services, and Georgetown University. In these roles, he has coordinated program implementation, supported pilot initiatives that expanded into scalable national programs, and strengthened surveillance, monitoring and evaluation, and digital health integration across health programs.
Within EVIHDAF’s Global Health Security team, Mr Njoya contributes technical expertise to support strategic positioning, stakeholder engagement, and proposal development aligned with Cameroon’s national health priorities. His work focuses on strengthening disease surveillance systems, integrating laboratory and digital health data platforms, and advancing preparedness and response strategies aligned with international health regulations and global health security frameworks.
